NBR: Transferring vhs to dvd

Hi girls- I don't get over here too often anymore and I see quite a bit has changed. But I hope the girls who I used to see are here are doing well (and anyone new). anyway, I got a question. I'd like to transfer some vhs tapes I have to dvd. I bought a dvd recorder a couple years back and now the dvd player in it went out and I have yet to get around to transferring. Is there a company that does this? (I don't want to spend a fortune thou). Or some other way to do this then buying a new recorder (or whatever its called). thanks for any input!

Re: NBR: Transferring vhs to dvd

  • There are several companies around here that do it for around $20/tape. Just google videographers or something like that. You might even want to hit the phone book  Indifferent

I did try that- I live in a small town and no one does it around here. The only places that I can find are online and expensive so I was hoping someone had better idea.
  • My Step Dad also has a lot of VHS to transfer to DVD, he bought this:

he says it works great, and apparently is very easy to use.

    Hope this helps!

  • do you have a walgreens near you? I have some I need to transfer too and found that my walgreens will send them out and get them done. (its an outside company, but you're going through walgreens as a company) its about $20  a tape too. I have one tape that was professional recorded but the company who recorded it is out of biz and I can't find the former owner and the place through walgreens will even do this one for me as long as I fill out a form about the former company (they will try to research, call them too to double check) .
  • Thanks ladies for the help. I will check out walgreens and best buy. Thanks again!
