  • Congrats ;)
I used to be a big deal.  Now I'm just old.
  • Yay!  FWIW, my OB said that the mini pill was only as effective as the regular pill if I was still BFing six times/day.  I'm super-paranoid about getting pg again, though.

My OB told me it's just as effective as long as I took it at the same time every day. It doesn't prevent ovulation, but it thickens the cervical mucous so sperm can't get through. I am paranoid about it, too, and I told him that. Besides an IUD, I don't really have any options that are more effective and compatible with my migraines. I am contemplating getting Mirena.

I never understand why the medical profession can't get its collective **** together and give the same advice about the same issue!

    Totally agree.

My current OB is actually the first doc who has told me anything about the contraindications with combo pills and migraine with aura. I'm actually pretty pissed off at my old GP's, who prescribed them for me without taking my migraine history into consideration.
