At first I didn't want to get her anything. I mean we've got all the clothes that we could possible need from our first DD and we have so many toys that it's just insane. But now I'm thinking maybe of getting a little table and chair set that the girls could share. I'd like to spend under $100 on it though.
I'm not sure what anyone else will get her for her birthday since we already have all of it!!!
We got a ride on giraffe thingy on clearance and with a coupon months ago for like $25. The grandparents will probably get him gifts, too, but we requested no gifts on his party invitation since we have a tiny condo and no outdoor play space. Instead we're taking party supply donations in his name for an organization that throws birthday parties for homeless children in shelters.

We are giving DD a Radio Flyer wagon and we also started a pearl strand for her. She will get another inch every year until it is completed on her 16th birthday
A's getting a wagon, a water table and a little laptop from us. There are a TON of people on the b-day guest list so I have a feeling we are going to have to get rid of stuff we already have to make room.
We're getting him the Mega Blox (sp?) wagon; with coupons we'll probably get it for about $25. I think it's fun, it's something he'll probably get a few year's use out of, it doesn't have stupid music or noise, and the blocks are good/fun for his development. Plus I loved Legos and like the idea of getting him started on the fun.

Since she has a ton of clothes, and I'm sure she'll get plenty from other family and friends. I'm being a little practical
So far I got her a life jacket and floatie (that she can use on our vacation to the lake). I'll probably also get her a small suitcase or rolling backpack to use on vacation and eventually overnights at grammie's, etc.
On her actual birthday I'm taking her to get pictures taken and SHOE shopping for her first "offical" pair of shoes.
I'm going to get her one of those vtech walkers. She loves all things Vtech. I never thought I would be the type to get her toys that blinked and made noise, but they entertain her forever! Whatever gives me peace!!

We were going to get her ruby earrings (her birthstone) but I think I want to save that for a birthday when she's older and will understand/appreciate it more. I think we may still get her a cute pair of earrings though.
We are also getting her a real live fish. Our foodstore has a ginormous tank and she screams in delight when we walk towards the store bc she loves that tank so much.
I dont want to go too crazy bc we're having 50 people at her party and I'm sure she'll get tons of stuff.
We had no clue what to get him. I posted about this dilemma a few days ago and got some really awesome suggestions - thanks ladies. We'll be getting a water/sand table, fuzzy sherpa anywhere chair, little tikes wagon with umbrella and a new car seat.

I hadn't even thought about that. I want to get him the stride and ride Dino, but if my mom ends up getting him that, then I think we will probably get him something small, and then put money in his savings account.
Re: What are YOU getting LO for 1st b-day?
Shes going to need clothes and I was thinking some new toys that are more age appropriate maybe some books...

He is adorable! I can't wait to get it now!
I commissioned my dad to build her a customized toybox. Bye bye, laundry basket!
That's amazing!!
