In the past week (and I'm ashamed to even post this) the following items have come up missing:
-My straightner
-the TV remote control
-My expensive video monitor (the Summer Infant hand held kind)
What makes me so irritated is that our downstairs is baby-proofed (i.e. locks, bolts, gates, etc) and yet in a matter of seconds--like today, for ex., while I"m getting one DD dressed--the other assumingly hid (or God forbid, threw away) my monitor (which, yes, I admit, I had on my night stand I think). I feel like an idiot and a crappy SAHM and I'm totally exhausted from coming up empty handed as I combed the downstairs. I of course didn't realize the monitor was MIA until AFTER Dh took out the trash this morning (and it's already been picked up).
Think I have a chance of finding any of these things? Or do you think they were tossed in the trash and are gone forever?! Please tell me this is just a phase of this toddler age.
Thanks for listening and sorry to vent.
Re: LOs"hiding things" phase, anyone?
K went through this stage but not till she was 4! Thankfully she has mostly grown out of it. Most of the things she hides ends up in the same 2 spots: under her bed or in the closet.
I am sure they will grow out of it. Good luck!

We're going through this right now too. Favorite "hiding" spots in our house: between couch cushions, under the couch, in a random drawer, and through the cat door (out of sight, out of mind, right?). We keep the bathrooms all closed off and trashcans secure so nothing of value goes too far.
Hopefully they grow out of it soon!
Oh no! Is your trash locked?
My DS loves to put things in the trash but we have the door to it locked with a magnet tot lot so everything doesn't go in there.
Hope you find those items
