What does bf after 6 months look like?

My daughter is almost 7 months old and ebf with 2 meals of solids a day. I work ft and pump twice. I recently dropped a session bc I hate pumping but I still get about 14 oz or so from my two pumps. I feed her 2 x in the am and try to feed 3x in the evening. She sttn.

My goal is one year but I don't know if we'll make it. My daughter is in this new phase where she grabs and pinches me while eating and squirms and even kicks. She's toothless but is essentially biting my nip bc she's teething. I am not sure if I'm having supply issues and she's getting frustrated -my left boob is a bit of a milk dud and produces 1/2 of my right!

Is this just a phase? Any suggestions? I felt like we were in a great groove for a while there but I'm getting frustrated and having a hard time thinking I can do this for 5 more months.

My DS did this to for a couple of months (around the same time as yours).  He stopped eventually.  I guess it was just a phase he had to get through.  Anyway, he continued to nurse about 5 or 6x a day until around 9 months.  He dropped down to 4x and now we are down to around 2x.  I would hang in there...just see if you and get past this hump in the road.  It should pass soon.  It gets a lot easier.

  • Yup, it's par for the course at this age... just keep at it and if they struggle, let them go and try again later.

LO bit me 3x last night because he was so restless and fussy and boy were we both frustrated! During the day if he doesn't seem interested, I just let him play and move on.
