PUPPPs Vent

So I was diagnosed with PUPPPs on Monday, given a prescription for Claritin and 2.5% hydrocortisone cream, and this rash has ultimately gotten worse than ever. I cannot take it anymore. I'm trying so hard not to itch, but then I have a mild spazz attack if I don't. I would rather have had MS my entire pregnancy than go through this. It's on my hands, arms, legs, stomach, shoulder blades, lower back, ankles, feet, and even my butt and inner thighs. I had my weekly set up for today but the doctor is sick so they wanted to reschedule me for tomorrow with the doctor who diagnosed me. I kindly refused and opted to see another doctor who doesn't go to my usual office, but is within the practice (he's also a potential deliverer). Hopefully he can either A.) Give me something better or B.) Schedule me for inducement. I'm at the end of my rope and can barely sleep at night anymore...

Thanks for letting me get this all out... At least a part of me feels better.Stick out tongue

Re: PUPPPs Vent

  • I'm so sorry!  I hope they can so something for you!  I just have it on my stomach and its driving me nuts so I can only imagine having it everywhere!

  • Oh that totally stinks...considering you are overdue (I feel your pain) hopefully they will be open to inducing you.  The end of pregnancy has definitely lowered my tolerance for feeling crappy!

  • I feel for you, I don't have PUPPS, I have a different rash all over my feet, arms, thighs and stomach and nothing has worked.  It is all I can do some days not to sit at my desk scratching myself.  My Dr. keeps giving me different options but nothing has worked.
  • Sorry you're going through this. I only have it on my stomach and can't stand it. I can't imagine having it all over! I'm only 38 weeks so I shouldn't talk too soon yet..

  • My best advice is talk to your doctor and do NOT itch it. It makes it so much worse.

  • I completely understand. I'm sorry you have it so bad. I asked to be induced once I reached your point, too. Try oatmeal baths if you haven't already. They don't offer much relief for long, but they did help me. I hope you have that baby soon!
