30 week transvag u/s: question???

Will i see baby?  I know if the beginning of pregnancy & you have a transvag u/s you can't see baby but will I see him @ 30 weeks w/a transvag u/s?  I forgot to ask doctor.

Do you see how big your baby is according to the fruit ticker? Yes you'll see the baby--but why are they doing a transvag. u/s and not a regular one?

ditto all of this.  I saw my baby aka "blob" fine w/ a tranvag. u/s at 7wks.

I'm confused as to why you would be getting a transvaginal ultrasound at 31 weeks pregnant as well.  I'm sure you'll be able to see the baby to some extent, but who knows how clear the image will be.

She ordered a transvag to get a better understanding of cervical length.  This is my 2nd pregnancy (1st was twins) and with this one, as well as with the girls, I've been having a great deal of BH contractions.  Last time it was understandable b/c of the twins but this time it's been just as bad, if not worse!  Doc ran test today for the pre-term labor chemical & we'll see how that comes back but we did that last time, came back good & I still had them a little early (35.5 weeks).  Who knows... I'm just really excited to see our little man on Thursday!! Yay!!!

I'm sorry.  Have I made it confusing?  I was just asking a question albeit a silly one but I didn't know the answer.

I had one at 24 weeks due to spotting and no, I did not get to see the baby at all... he just checked out the cervix.

My doc did a transvag u/s at my 30 week appointment in addition to a regular ultrasound... he was checking my cervix.

Same here but it was at 32 weeks because she couldn't get a good measurement during the regular u/s due to him sitting on my cervix.

I get cervical checks every other week and last week when i had one i saw the babys bottom...i just sawsomething moving and i asked the doctor if that was the head and he said it was the bottom of baby a so it is possible to see the baby but nothing u can really make out
