TTCAL Q- Negative blood test at 10dpo, am I out out or is there still a chance?

Hi, I am on TTCAL but figured you ladies are the ones to ask Smile So thanks in advance.

My Dr did a blood test this morning at 10dpo. The reason he tested early is that I am going on vacation on Friday and in order to do comparative betas (just in case) I needed to get a baseline today and another draw on Thursday if todays came back good.

Anyway, it was less than 5 so a negative.

Has anyone had a - blood test then a positive hpt or blood test later on?

I know it was early and I know no one here can guess. I was just wanting to see if this has happened to anyone over here.

I am not fishing, just hoping I am still in the game Smile Thanks

It ain't over until AF shows her ugly face, especially at only 10 DPO.

ETA: Just looked at your chart and I agree with KathyMarie. Oh & also wanted to add that I didn't get a + until 11DPO (see chart in siggy).

Hmmm... looking at your chart, I agree with when you ovulated, but it looks like (if you are pregnant) you had an implantation dip only 4 days ago. hCG production starts after implantation, so I suppose it could be possible that your levels are still low enough to read negative. How negative are we talking? 4? 0?

OR, you just might not be pregnant.

I hope it's the former and wish you luck. Test again in a day or two with FMU.

Oh, and it aint over until AF shows up.

I had a negative HPT at 10dpo, then a positive HPT at 12dpo (also confirmed with a blood test). Good luck!

I just called the OB- all the info they had was that it was "less than 5".

I am keeping my fingers crossed that it was just too early.

Thank you for your answers I know the question was kind of silly, but I am in that hopeful/panic/countdown period of the 2ww.

FX for you!!

Someone on the toddler board went through the same thing for vacation. She got a - blood work around the same time as you. She came home from vacation to a BFP though!! It's not over till it's over. Hope to see you here soon.

My hCG was 4 at 7DPO and then went up to 70 at 11DPO, it continued to double into a (thus far) healthy pregnancy. I hope that the same happens for you! Good luck!
