I've posted a few times about our girl choice: Margaret. I've been mulling over middle name options. DH really likes Ann and it would honor his deceased mother. I've always liked Ann (though I do prefer Anne but he's not budging), even as a first name. But for some reason I find Margaret Ann, so plain. I really like Margaret Rose but he really wants Ann and I also can't get past the fact that it's a royal name (Queen Elizabeth's sister's name- but I know very few know that, just stuck in my head is all).
So what about Margaret Roseann? Too much of a mouthful? We have a 2 syllable last name. Is it weird that I can't get over the Queen's sister's name but I can get over the Roseanne Barr association? Lol.
Re: semi s/o: Roseann
I think it works. Roseann looks a little unfinished to me, but since it's to honor his mother, I don't mind it so much.
I do think of Rosanne Barr, but since you're not using it as a FN, I'll say that it's no big deal. I think Margaret Roseann sounds great.
I agree. It is a bit of a mouthful, but how often will you say the whole name? Not often enough to make it a big deal.
I think it is a nice compromise.
