Social Networking FAIL

So, I've heard so much about Pinterest, and I have recently heard about google +

 Yesterday I decided to get with it and try them both out. I clicked on the Pinterest icon in OSC's siggy, added my email for an invite, and nothing happened. I kept clicking the registration button but my screen remained blank. ::sad face::

Then, I headed over to google + to check out the fuss, only to discover they are in a trial period, rejecting anyone who wants to join at this point because they have enough volunteers for the trial.

BOOO! I feel like a social networking reject!

It says that even if you have an invite, they are no longer accepting due to a limited quantity of those participating in the trial run

Thanks Mands - I'm going to have to play with this to figure it all out. Might be tough today because I have a teething banshee baby who has learned to crawl, cry, and get into things he's not supposed to, all at the same time. Agh!

I don't think so. I've sent invites to people without gmail accounts and they were able to join.

jilly, when did you last try? I know some people who joined yesterday. It took me a couple of times to get in, so maybe try again?

FWIW, I am not that impressed, but am hoping it will get better once I know more people on it.

It took a few days before my Pinterest account was accepted (I didn't get an invite).  I still don't understand Google+, and I'm not sure that I want to.
