DH called just a few minutes ago. It went something like this:
DH: How are you feeling?
Me (snarfy): No baby yet
DH: Well okay you said you weren't feeling well this morning. Are you rocking in the chair?
Me: Yep, been here all morning.
DH: Are you just sitting there or are you rocking with your legs spread apart?
Me (snarfy): Didn't we have this conversation this morning where you said to me "don't forget to rock in the chair"
Me (in my head): Damn you midwife for saying that would help induce labor.
Me (snarfy): Everyone wants to know how I'm feeling...
DH: I just wanted to check and see if you were feeling ok. I can tell you don't want to talk.
I drank a pitcher of raspberry tea this morning and DH is nagging me about rocking the correct way in the chair - we're both getting desperate.
Re: desperate times call for desperate measures ;)
Your post made me LOL because it is completely and totally the conversation I just had with DH. They always start with how are you feeling and end with "no contractions, nothing?!?" "why aren't you having any contractions". Sorry I let you down, sometimes followed by tears, followed by, I can't wait to meet LO.
And I am also incredibly SICK of other people telling me how anxious they are to meet LO, trust me, my anxiety trumps yours
I am so glad other people's H's are doing this! H keeps calling/texting me from his job going "any contractions yet?" No honey, I promise I will let you know. I think with him it's part excitement for the baby and part wanting to start vacation and not have to be at work for 2 weeks though.
I also love when people go through the list of OWT. Are you eating spicy foods? Yep, have been the whole pregnancy. Are you having lots of sex? That would be none of your business. Are you walking a lot? 2 miles a day plus whatever errands I run, just as I have the whole pregnancy.
