Pregnant after a Loss

Help the insomniac, please!

Ok, I am starting to lose my mind...I have no problem falling asleep, but cannot stay asleep. I wake up every morning between 4:30-5:30am and then cannot go back to sleep.

Any suggestions on how to stop this? I feel like now I am in the awful pattern and I can't get out of it and needless to say, I am TIRED.

  • That doesn't happen to me that often, but when it does, I usually put the TV on like the news or something and I fall back asleep after awhile.

  • This happened to me starting around 8 weeks or so.  Thankfully only lasted a few weeks and now I'm sleeping like a rock again.  I would get up, make sure I used the bathroom, have a glass of juice, and watch tv or use computer for a few minutes.  I did try everything during the day (not napping, increasing exercise and activity level) but nothing had a bearing on waking up during the night..until it mysteriously stopped.

  • I feel for ya. I do this now and before my bfp. It sucks. If I am up more then 30 minutes I go downstairs and watch TV for a few minutes. Most of the time I just lay there and I haven't found anything to help it. sorry I'm not much help.

  • same here, I have been up since 5am.  I fall asleep on cue but I often wake up and cannot fall back asleep.  I put on the tv a lot and that helps but many a time, I just lay there. It stinks, sorry:(
