2nd round bloodwork!

Good morning!!

I went in Monday for blood work and my hcg level came back as 4,757 which is pretty good - but my progesterone was 8.5 :( So, I was put on Prometrium (200 mg) orally.

 

I had the 2nd round of blood work done yesterday and the results came back today. My hcg had gone from 4,757 to 8,699 in about 42 hours! I feel a lot better as I have been reading hcg should double every 48-72 hours. Should I take this as even though my progesterone is low right now, things are still progressing?? Progesterone was not tested again as I just went on the prometrium Tuesday.

    Awesome results. Yes, you have to continue taking the progesterone supplements until 10-12 weeks. That is when the placenta starts taking over. My OB will not retest your progesterone after the first time even if it is low. The supplements are assumed to take care of the low numbers. Congratulations on your numbers!
