1st bday ideas

We r having our daughters 1st bday party at our house but need some cool ideas to take it a little over the top...not a carnival or anything but someone or something to make it a little more special since it is her first....any suggestions?  There will be kids  from infant to about 8 there.....

    I'm on the same boat. I love the whole idea of carnival but its so darn popular. We have a Circus themed playroom for DD so Im basically Carnival/Circus'd out.

    Were doing a rainbow theme party (lots of bright colors) with some touches of Little Miss Sunshine and the rest of the Mr. Men Show Gang. The only special thing about our party (I guess) is she's getting a bounce house. I too have some older kids (neices and nephews (through age 7) that need entertaining ohh and a DIY sundae station (because I'm a nerd).

    to take it over the top you could have a petting zoo come to your house, a clown and/or a magician, bounce house, or a charater.
