I've
been following your story since you had your boys-they are almost the
exact same age as my daughter. How is H doing? I know you are beyond
done with the whole NICU thing by now! I hope he gets to come home soon.
H is doing very well considering. He was born at 1 pound 7 oz and today he's up to 6 pounds 3oz. Right now we are focusing on eating. He can bottle feed but his resp rate is so high at time that he can't. Not to mention it's exhausting breathing more than 90 times a minute. All of this stems from his BPD. He's on minimal oxygen right now but can't seem to completely kick it.

Oh and because life hasn't been tough enough, my right body has decided it hates me. Mastitis in my right boob = less milk, lots of pain & fever of 101.8. Good times!

Wow...mastitis on top of everything else? That's beyond unfair. I hope you feel better quickly! I had clogged ducts while we were in the NICU but mastitis is way worse.
I'm glad to hear H is on a good path. Our NICU neighbors were in a similar holding pattern with feeding and BPD. The neos even trained the parents on how to use an NG tube and then suddenly everything fell into place and she started finishing bottles. She's home now and may even get off oxygen this week. I hope your little guy's lungs keep healing so he can come home soon.
