Places (parks, etc.) to take pictures?

I am trying to get into photography a little bit and would like to attempt trying to take some pictures of my 2 year old son and am not familiar with a lot of parks in the area. What are some good places in the Northwest Austin/Round Rock/Pflugerville area for taking pictures?

Drive around and scout some out! A big part of photography is being able to have an eye for a good location.
