Resale value on CD's

So, I keep using the resale value as justification for my continuous purchases of cd's (mainly to my husband).  He loves cd'ing, but doesn't quite get why I keep buying them now that we have enough for both girls for 2 days...silly hubs.

Anyway, what is the resale value, really?  For major brands (like BG and FB), but more for some of the lesser known brands that I've bought (Sage, Mommy's Touch, Piddle Poddle), as well?  Are we talking 50%, more, less?

Because I buy 2 of everything I get, I will probably have some major destashing to do once these babes are out of dipes...unless we have another set of twins, I won't need doubles of everything.

Re: Resale value on CD's

  • I think it is 80% of original for big brands EEUC, EUC.  60-70% for VGUC. and down for GUC.  I would say the used condition definitely matters if they have stains, holes, elastic, or snap problems can make them depreciate faster.

Having a big stash also means less use and better condition in the long run.  I use that excuse...
