Popping over from 6-9 with a car seat question. I'd love to get a Britax, but they're just sooo expensive and we need to get 2 (one for DH's car and one for mine).
We might get a Britax for mine b/c DS will be in my car more often, but I'm not sure what to get for DH's car.
Any recommendations for a convertible that won't bankrupt us? Thanks!
Pin me baby!

Re: Convertible car seat that won't break the bank
My DD was very long for her age and we needed a convertable car seat-Fast while on vacation and found the Graco ComfortSport at Target. It was reasonably priced ($75-90) and my daughter loves it! A lot of padding and fits well in all our Dodge vehicles. We also purchased a Safety First Alpha Omega Elite thru JCPenney.com and got it for $85.00!! Both are great seats! Good Luck!
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
I don't get the hype either...
We just purchased an Evenflow Triumph LX 65 from Walmart. $130
Need to purchase 2 car seats.
Evenflo go high marks in Consumer Reports and side impact tested. DH call it the "cadillac of car seats"
I would reccomend the True Fit from First Years. We have those for the all the kids convertibles My DS who is almost 40" tall at 3 is still on the 3rd strap setting. He's also got several inches of shell above his head yet... around 4 or 5 I believe. My MIL has the MyRide 65 and DS has already reached the top of the shell w/ his head.
Forward facing they can go till the top of their ears reach to top of the shell... so he still has room to grow w/ the myride, but he'll outgrow it height wise long before he outgrows it weight wise.
