Per this thread, we're hoping to condense a lot of the "gawker" threads into one! We thought this would make them more fun to browse and the board an easier read. We'll start a new thread every day to keep the list fresh.
Anyone is welcome to add to the post--local hospital names, the awful name you over heard at the park, Facebook horrors, and anything else that might give us a good chuckle! Feel free to comment, too.

Per La-a, like twins Orangello and Lemongello, and Shithead (shi-theed), this is most likely an urban legend.

Sorry for the repeat ladies.
I guess DH's old coworker was just pulling his leg then. Oh well.
I work at a hospital so I've seen a lot! But here are a few of the worst that stick out...
Chaos
Xxaxx
Pistol
Lil' Jon (no joke, we almost died laughing)
Ryver (pronounced River, just spell it right people)
There are many more but those are the ones that we've made fun of the most
Echo, friend of a friend on fb.
A girl I went to school with has a daughter that is 2, her name is Mattilyn, until I saw it spelled our on fb today I thought it was spelled Madelyn.
Sorry ladies but I just can't stand AnnaLiegh, AnnaLeigh, AnnaLee etc.
I won't ever forget Quagmire's daughter's name. Any rude child that meets one of these Anna's will give her quite the nn too.
Thought I'd chime in from over in the Oct 2011 board. I've seen a lot from the line of work I'm in.
Fredisha
Semaj (James backwards and pronounced similar to sammich)
Twin boys names Devon and Deshon
Sorry for mine too, yesterday--I'm new here and hadn't seen it before. Guess it's an urban-legend kind of thing?
(Sorry if I am posting this incorrectly- I'm new around here)
My dh went to school with a family with the last name of "Sweet"- they named thier girls-
Forever Sweet
Truely Sweet
Really Sweet
Always Sweet
I used to work at a bakery and a lady came in with boy/girl twins whos names were:
Dakuri & Bakardi - Spelled that exact way..I guess they were hoping by giving them a off the wall spelling people wouldn't notice she named her children after alcohol.
What if they get married and take their husband's names? Then not only will they have stupid names, the joke won't even make sense anymore. I can't believe some parents.
Here's one I saw on a name list: Cicely. Not Cecily, but Cicely, pronounced, I can only assume, like the island off the southern coast of Italy. Spell check please!
And the last one I will post: Brynja. Like ninja. Seriously.
