my dear sweet DH (somewhat long vent)

So in all his inifinite wisdom, my dear DH had a little too much to drink last night. I went to bed early after a really tough day (long rough day at work & then came home to clean house before DH brought my FIL to visit) and was awakened at 1:30am to what sounded like a dance party coming from my living room (he was watching Aqua Teen Hunger Force).

I came downstairs to ask him to turn the tv down & he was passed out on the couch with a half a beer precariously perched in his hand. I removed the glass & tried to wake him. He was covered in sweat (though the AC was on) and it took me about 10 minutes of trying for him to wake up. He finally woke up & then started spouting nonsense. I told him that he almost poured 1/2 a beer on himself & he said "no - it was empty". When I told him I poured it out he looked at me like I had committed a mortal sin. Then more babbling nonsense.

I finally got him upstairs & he kept babbling about how I woke him up & now he was going to talk to me all he wanted. So I said fine & took my boppy and went down to sleep on the couch. But it was too warm in the living room for me, so I slept on the futon mattress in the basement.

I woke up this morning at about 6:30 & went back upstairs into our bedroom & went back to sleep. When I got up at 8 - he asked what was wrong and I said - don't worry about it I'll talk to you about it later when you wake up. He didn't remember anything.

When I explained what happened, he was very apologetic & sweet about it. But I still kind of want to punch him. Hopefully he'll get it & maybe not drink so much. Or at least have the smarts to understand when to be quiet around his crazy emotional pregnant wife.

I think you mentioned before that your DH tends to drink too much when around his alcoholic Father.... Did I get that right? Sounds like it wasn't too awful. Could have been worse.

MH isn't a big drinker, but last night he managed to get sloppy drunk. After we got home, he was all over me (I'm on pelvic rest so we couldn't do anything) and he kept telling me how much he loved my new big boobies. LOL.

If this were a regular occurrence, I'd be pissed. But it was funny and strangely sweet how he was lusting after me.
