I have a baby shower for a good friend tomorrow, and I've been dreading going to Babies 'R Us to get her gift. But, I did it! I hyperventilated a little in the store, but I made it through. I mainly panicked looking at all the stuff/junk you need for baby - then thought of my 1500 sq. ft. house - Where am I going to put all of this stuff??!!
Re: I did it, I went to Babies 'R Us
You get pretty ingenuative
2 of the shelves of my TV entertainment center are now a bookshelf and toy shelf for my DD. And you don't open my closets
You definitely find places. We got the swing/bouncy seat combo. It's become a piece of furniture in the living room.?
We got a carriage/stroller convertible (uppababy vista) and it doubles as her bassinet. It's great!
A lot of stuff too, baby won't use for a while. SO it's stored.
You have to be creative. When we're ready for a high chair, we'll get the space saver one. ?
I try to avoid BRU when at all possible; online shopping is my friend.
My house is tiny though also. We'll just have to try to have minimalist babies... let's see how it goes convincing the grandmothers of that! How's everything else going?
Trista - I was just thinking about how crazy my mom is going to be with buying stuff. I think I'm going to open up a college fund, and tell her I would rather her put $ in there than buy us stuff. How do you think she'll take that? Terribly, I'm sure.
Things are going well. I'm so over being sick, it's unreal. I can't work after 1PM because I just feel so terrible. My work is really slacking right now. Other than that, just pretty busy. We're having a bathroom renovated, I have to fly to Houston for a wedding this weekend. It never ends.
Babies R Us is SOOOOO overwhelming!!! I don't really like going in there yet either. I figure after I have my big u/s, I am going to have my best friend and good friend who are both mothers go with me to help register. I don't know what the "f" to register for. LOL
