I personally think fleece is better as far as leaks go, but wool is natural, so a lot of people prefer that route, especially with a natural fiber fitted.
I have a pair of wool, but haven't used them- just haven't been able to find the sanity to deal with lanolizing them, etc. But I love fleece. It's all we use for covers, both soakers and longies. And you can get/make soakers with an extra layer in the soak zone, if you're worried about leaking.?
Re: Fleece vs. Wool soakers
I like wool interlock and fleece. ?But make sure you go the anti-pill route on fleece. ?
I don't lanolize. ?Haven't had problems yet. ?But I don't think ds is too heavy of a wetter.?
