I like the spelling Karis since it doesn't have a Y in it! My friend is named Karis and it's easy to pronounce based on the spelling just like Paris.

I've known people who pronounce it ka-reece. In fact I think I've heard that more than care-iss.

This is my daughter's name. The traditional welsh pronunciation rhymes with paris. I prefer the name spelled Carys. I think it looks much prettier than Karis.
