Help! Looking for a pediatrician in Detroit.

I am due August 7th and still have not found a pediatrician. My husband and I just moved to Detroit in June, so I don't know too many people that could recommend a pediatrician. Any recommendations would be so helpful! Thanks!

Re: Help! Looking for a pediatrician in Detroit.

  • The metro Detroit area is pretty big, so sharing what area yo're looking in is helpful.

Aside from that, I spoke with a pediatrician last weekend and she recommended asking for a recs from my OB.  (I won't be using her because her office is a good hour away from where we live.)

  • If you are in Troy/Rochester, we love Mali and Mali. Saturday hours, always can get a same day appointment, docs and nurses are all great....

  • Welcome to the D!  I just gave birth June 24 to a beautiful baby girl. My other daughter is 21.  We had our first visit already.  I am pleased with our Pediatrician who was referred by my Ob/Gyn, who also uses her.

I was hesitant at first based on my on hang-ups but was reassured once I got in their.  Later found out several of my friends either use her for their children or grandchildren.

Anyway, enough about me.  Her name is Dr. Crystal Banks, 29255 Northwestern Hwy, Ste. 100 in Southfield.  Phone 248.358.2410.  She's with a group of three other doctors (pediatricians) and their office is called My Kid's Doc.  I hear they are a phenomenal group.

I called to do a pre-visit which the receptionist told me they don't do, but I would stop by the office if you want to do a pre-visit.  I believe once you meet Dr. Banks you'll be thoroughly satisfied.  Especially once you see her with your baby.

    I hope this helps.
