This ebay seller makes some really pretty ones. Im not sure how much they are per invite. It says $5 for the sell but not sure what that entails. Scroll down the page to see some other examples of her work.
40-50 invites with postage on top of it? that would be my whole party budget.
I've ordered photo cards from Snapfish or Shutterfly and put DD's photo on it and relevant info. I just did for her Bday Thank You cards and got a lot of them using the pampers rewards points, so it cost me the price of shipping and people loved them.
Also-- I've used Evite for bday parties. We aren't that formal, and it is nice for keeping track of who's viewed the Evite and tracking responses. I reach out to other invitees who don't use computers using another way. Even though I go high tech and informal for the invites, I still mail hand written thank you cards.
I used Etsy too - loved it! I got a personalized design and was able to print them out myself at my local Wal-Mart. I spent $14 on the design and not much more to print them on photo paper - awesome!!

Re: cute twin birthday invites? any sites you would rec?
Are you doing a theme for their party?
Do you have a link to ones you like so I can get an idea of what to look for?

Also try etsy. You can get a .jpg file usually for $15 and print them yourself. Much cheaper than ordering them.
I have done this twice and really like the results.

We used Etsy- they turned out super cute, and the owls actually look a little like our little ones!
