i saw you are going to ireland, so exciting!  what part?  my parents were born and grew up there, we are hoping to go take the kids there in dec/jan or march.

We are going to Cavan - it's right below Northern Ireland.  DH grew up there and all of his family is there - DD will finally get to see meet her grandparents!  We just got her passport in the mail the other day.  We usually end up going in December/January, but it's always so cold!  Where are your parents from?  We're going for two weeks, so it will be a nice break, and we get to see all of our nieces and nephews

I know  where Cavan is.  My dad is from Fermanagh and my mom is from Donegal.  I think we drive thru cavan from dublin airport up north.  my granny is still in donegal and she is 96 so we need to go soon!  i need a photo w/ 4 generations of women!!  most of my cousins are over there i loved spending summers there as a kid, we tried to go every few years.  enjoy ur trip, does anyone cd over there or do they think u r mad?  i know my relatives are big on line drying, even w/ all that rain!

I hope you get over there soon - I'm sure your granny would love to see your daughter!  I hear Donegal is beautiful!  I don't think anyone over there cd'd (except DH's mom!)...our youngest nephew is 3 and last time we went over he was in size 5 diapers - he's a big boy!  DH is huge on line drying, but he put our line outside up so high I can barely reach it!   I'm excited to go back - it's been about a year and a half since I was there.  DH took DS by himself in October, but I was 34 weeks and couldn't go.  Has your DH been there?

no, my dh has never been either, last time i went we were dating and it was summer, my dh can never go in summer as its his busy season at work - golf course superintendent.  donegal is absolutely beautiful w/out being spoiled by tourists like the ring of kerry/dingle and such.  great beaches there too - too bad it never seems warm enough to want to swim.  enjoy your trip, its awesome you guys get to go so much!!
