Out of Breath?

So first trimester, when I would go up one flight of stairs to get to my classroom at work, I would be a little out of breath.

Second trimester, much more out of breath when going up one flight of stairs or slightly out of breath when moving around/cleaning a lot at home.

But now... I'm just sitting at the computer and I feel a little out of breath.  Nothing serious, I don't think, but isn't that a little strange?!  Last night I was making cupcakes and felt a little out of breath too.

Maybe it's because I have a short torso.  I mean baby is right up under my ribs and usually always hangs out above my belly button.

But I'm only almost 27 weeks.  I can't imagine what it'll be like at 30+ weeks!!

P.S. I have my 3D/4D one week from today!!!  So excited! Big Smile

Re: Out of Breath?

  • I am out of breath all day, everyday. Just sitting here and one of the LOs can push on your diaphragm and feels like someone just sat on your chest (and you cant breath)...is very scary the first time it happens. But for the most part its only when I move ;)

  • Yup there with you.  I get out of breath talking!!  Guess my lungs are being squished by all the other organs that have moved up into chest!
  • Amen sista!  My husband called me (he was at work) and I answered the phone right after I had trudged up the stairs.  He then laughed at me because I was huffing and puffing on the phone like I had just ran a marathon.  I can't imagine how uncomfortable we will all be even a month from now! Indifferent

  • Yup, totally agree.  I can't do even 2 flights of stairs without being completely out of breath and when i talk a lot (like right now i'm training someone at work) i get out of breath.  I'm also worried about what it's going to be like as we get further along.  There's already no room!!

  • I was out of breath because I was talking too much. I was counseling a patient, and I guess I didnt take enough breath in to make my whole point!

  • I'm out of breath all the time. Mostly when I walk and talk at the same time. I end up gasping for breath by the time I am done. You aren't alone.
