Hi All. Sorry if this is a common topic. I tried searching the posts, but the function doesn't seem to work. My daughter will be 1-year-old in less than 2 weeks. I want to have a small casual party, with just close friends and family. Unfortunately, our house won't work for the party. I had considered having it at a nearby park that has a pool (we actually have two to chose from). However, I went to check out one of the parks today to see about the picnic table situation and what it really felt like to hang out there in the heat, and I realized that I don't think I can handle the heat, much less put guests through it. Do you have any suggestions for another location? Thanks!
Re: 1st Birthday Party Location
What do you consider small?
We invited almost 50 people to Kate's first birthday and it was just immediate family and a few very close friends. It was ridiculous, but DH has four brothers who all have wives and kids... Ugh, it adds up fast.
We went to a first birthday party at Heartsong which was fun. More for the kids though. I know the Children's Museum does parties, as does Gymboree. If it's gong to be mainly adults, you might look at reserving the party room of a restaurant.
The search feature on the boards never works! But you can use google. In the search box use
site:thebump.com Austin whatever it is you're looking for
Safari Champ does indoor parties.
