My SIL swears by this Old Wives Tale

Hi Ladies,

I thought I would ask you ladies since it would still be sort of fresh in your memory. My SIL swears this OWT is true, I wondered how true it actually is.

Okay here goes:

Hair growth during pregnancy - on areas where you shave :

If you had to shave A LOT = girl  (something about the added estrogen)

If you shaved the same or less = boy

Something fun to see how another OWT fares.

I barely shaved at all while pregnant, and I had a girl. Then again, I didn't shave because I got tired of struggling to reach my whole leg. I didn't notice that the hair was growing any faster than normal though.

Ditto. But it might be because I kind of neglected to shave. Isn't there something that says the less you shave, the slower your hair growth becomes?

My leg, arm, chin, and moustache hair stopped growing almost completely during my pregnancy. I shaved maybe once every 3 months and my legs stayed smooth.

    I had a girl.

When I had my son, I had billy goat hair and you could have braided my leg hair after about a day.

This.  I had a girl and actually felt like the hair grew slower, but again I couldn't really reach it or see it very well :)
