Weaning Questions....

My DD is 6 mths old and I was planning in BFing until she is a year.  There are sometimes I want to wean her early but I am so torn.  Anyone else wean before your baby turned a year? If so how did you do it? Did you use formula after?

I wanted to bf for a year also but unfortunately my supply tanked so I am forced to start weaning.  We are using formula for a bottle or two right now and I am nursing in the morning and at night.  It kind of worked out that my supply tanked because I was feeling like I was wanting to start weaning but felt guilty.  Now the decision was out of my hands.
