My nieces and nephews are camping with my parents so when I called to give them an update on my doc appt my oldest niece asked to talk to me. I have three nieces H (12), M (10), F (6) and one nephew, J (8). Our convo went like this.
H: Auntie can you have Max on July 13th? That would be the best bday present ever.
Me: Well 13 days is a long time right now I don't know sweetie, but I'll talk to Max because he's going to make the decision.
H: It's only 13 more days Auntie that's not a lot and I really want him to be born on my bday.
Me: When you are having your first baby I am going to remind you that those last 13 days aren't a lot.
H: Giggles and hands the phone to J
So then my nephew gets on the phone:
J: Auntie can you have Max on July 6th cause that's my bday and it would be so cool.
Me: Well that's his due date so we'll see.
J: Ok cool (he's such a boy)
Then my niece M gets on the phone:
M: Auntie can you have Max on Oct 8th since that is my bday
Me: That's a very long time I don't think that's going to happen.
M: Could you try?
Me: Ok but no promises
Finally F, the baby of the bunch at 6 yrs old gets on the phone:
F: Auntie I really think you should have Max on Jan 6th because that is my bday (she was very excited about this idea practically squealing...ha ha)
Me: I'm sorry F, but that's not going to happen.
F: Why not Auntie, I really want him to come on my bday.
Me: Well that's a long time for Max to stay in my tummy and I don't think it would be good. Don't you want to meet him before Jan?
F: No I want him to come on my bday, you can talk to Grandma now.
ETA: They were just cracking me up and the whole time my dad is in the background saying no Max is coming on my bday, July 21st. By the time we got to January I was laughing so hard it hurt. That would be one very long pregnancy.

Aw that is too precious! I just love the things kids say!
My nephew (3yo) still calls the baby "Reese" because that is what he liked when we thought (ok, were SURE it was a girl). It's adorable because it kind of comes out "weese."
I have all sorts of requests for October too!
I sure hope your nephew gets a birthday buddy. That would be cool.

I'm voting for a 4th of July baby for you - because he will come in with a bang!!!!
And, it is a great holiday to have a baby on, compared to other holidays.
Ha! that's funny.

Baby N conceived after 1 miscarriage and more than 2 years of TTC. Diagnosis was low sperm count. We found success after 3 months of anastrozole to increase DH's testosterone and one IUI.
