I had my 37 week check up today and while the midwife was checking how dialated I was she said she felt the babies head. At the time I was so excited I couldn't think of questions but when I got home and told my husband of course he said "I guess we better not have sex anymore". I've never read anything about sex being dangerous during the last few weeks but if the midwife can touch her head...
Does anyone know anything about this?
Re: When to stop having sex?
People have a bunch of sex to get the baby out, so I'm pretty sure (unless the baby's head is crowning or you're on some type of pelvic rest) you're ok to keep going at it.

After my Dr said this I asked DH if he could feel her head and he looked at me like I had 4 heads. He swears on his life nothing felt different. I have always heard that they couldn't but I just had to ask him.
To answer your question, if it isn't painful have sex until D-Day. I was on pelvis rest for 6 weeks and then released for about 2 weeks before we had DD and only had sex once or twice in that time. I am already dying to have sex again but have to wait 5 more weeks. Knowing the pain it would cause I am OK holding off now but know it will be harder the more I heal.

Sex? What is THAT? DH is too afraid to touch me.
I just read somewhere that your vagina elongates during sex to protect the cervix and make room for ..well...the particularly well endowed man
So i'm sure you are just fine! My MW says do it as much as I want
I'm constantly initiating sex....I'm hoping to start this labor party. Working? Not so much, yet at least :-)
