Thank you note etiquette question

My knowledge of etiquette is about nill. I'm rolling along on my baby shower thank you notes, and realized that one of the people who came didn't bring a gift of any kind. Do I need to write her a note to thank her for coming? I feel like I don't, but I'm not sure.

    I'm in the 'you don't have to, but it'd be nice and what's one more thank you card when you already have to do so many' camp.

    He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be.  He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.

    I probably would, but I don't know if you have to.  Did she travel a bit to be there? In that case, definitely.

    No, she lives in town. Actually closer to where we had the shower than I do.

    At my work shower, I did write thank yous for people coming, even if there was no gift, because there were few people and I could keep track.

    At my skype-home shower, I didn't because I wasn't there to see each person who was there.
