I really lucked out on how amazing of a husband I got. He's been keeping up the cleaning and laundry just so I don't have to. Last night he cooked dinner because I was wiped out AND had the brilliant idea to go to the store to get stuff for strawberry shortcake. Lately he's been talking to my belly a lot (including hilarious baby talk that I can't help but laugh at) and rubbing it. I absolutely can't wait to see him as a dad - he's going to be an amazing one. There are so many more amazing things about him.
How has your husband outdone himself during your pregnancy?
Re: Here's to all the amazing husbands out there
Well, we have always split the households duties pretty evenly but when I was barely human at weeks 7-14 he did EVERYTHING. He was very supportive during this time and did everything he could to make me feel better and was very understanding that I didn't want to interact with anyone or do anything. He usually carries all of my heavy stuff for me but he has been even more insistent on this since the BFP. He also goes out and does any shopping that I want to do for DD with me at any time and never complains about how long it takes me to pick out stuff. He is also very supportive of any educational classes I want to take and tells me to choose any doctor/hospital that I want and he will do whatever I want him to do and go to whatever appointment/class I want him too.
He has always been very supportive of me and takes very good care of me and he has just increased this since the BFP. He tells me all the time that he is so excited for our DD to get here because he thinks he will be a better and more attentive father since we are having a daughter, I love this! Ok now I have to go text him that I love him.
In my bag: Nikon D90; 35mm 1.8, 90mm 2.8 macro (my fave), Lensbaby Composer with macro extensions. BFP after 13 cycles and one ectopic. Lost left tube 5/19/10.
My parents are coming this weekend, bringing all sorts of stuff for the nursery.
We're procrastinators so we've been in a mad dash to clear out the office so we can make that the guest room. The existing guest room is becoming the nursery. The office was DH's "man cave" so it's a pig sty.
All week I've been totally bossy, bitchy and demanding. DH is just taking it and doing it all with a smile. And he gives me foot rubs whenever I ask.
Love hearing about all these great DHs! I have been blessed as well - DH has been stepping it up on the chores, letting me relax a bit more, and waiting on me when I really need it. He also tells me I look really beautiful everyday, which is fantastic when I am feeling like a bloated whale! He has been talking to the baby and always wants to feel it kick, and even made a trip with me to BRU to check out all the stuff my friend and I had put on the registry. AND he actually had some real opinions on the stuff! Wow!
He is so excited about our LO, and I know he is going to be a great father - can't wait to really start this adventure with him!
Can any of your DHs call my FI and tell him to step up his game!
The stairs are killing me. Like seriously, I look at the stairs at the end of every day and try to think of how I can get out of going up there. My hips and lower back are really sore all the time. IF anything needs to be taken upstairs DH does it. If i need anything from upstairs. He also does all the carrying of DD now that I don't have much of a waist left.
