Good Morning Ladies,
Yesterday I registered at Target for the baby shower and I found that most of the things that I wanted or that matched were only available online. (ie the car seat and stroller in the store but the high chair and pak'n'play online). Now looking at it about half of everything is online only.
For my wedding shower no one bought anything online. So I am afraid that no one will bother with online this time too. I thought that maybe if when my mom put the note in the invitations on where I am registered should could make a point to put Target and Target.com seperate. This way maybe more people will look at the registry online before going into the store????
What do you think? Have people purchased online items from your registeries?
** I know a lot of people think the registry cards are tacky, but it is kind of a standard thing to include in my neck of the woods **
Re: registry online?
I don't think listing them separetely is necessary. Anyone savvy enough to shop online will realize that Target has a website for registry needs. Anyone who doesn't probably wasn't going to go online anyway.

Our family of 5 is complete!! Love our boys!
When I registered online for my wedding I didn't realize most of it was online only, not in stores. People mentioned this to me, they seemed a little annoyed.
So this time I am registered at BRU, where I went to the store and picked stuff out, specially for those brink-n-mortar shoppers. I also did Amazon since my family are Amazon junkies.
I agree. I am having the same issue. I registered at Target, BRU and BabyDepot, just to give people selection (online and in the store). Most computer savvy people will look online first to see what you registered for. My only suggestion is to send out the invites a bit early so there is time for online ordering.
The really good thing about buying online are the sales! My mom purchased my Travel System for $100 on sale! Normally $185! Love that!!
I already know that most of my older family are afraid to shop online, so I picked buybuybaby that has a large instore selection but can be bought online too. I may do a small amazon registry for online shoppers but mostly because that's where I plan to buy anything else I need.
I had a similar problem. My super sweet step-sisters decided to through me a shower at Easter time because we live in a different state. I rushed to put together a registry at BRU and Target, and did both online, (I was still so sick with M/S that I couldn't bring myself to go to the stores). So much of what I selected is online only! Annoying! I ended up getting a lot of gift cards (~$200 and less than 20 guests attended).
I don't think it is necessary to mention you have things on your registry that are online only. If you can, try to go to the store and pick out things you like that are available in store, or just hope for the best! You may end up with a lot of gift cards like me!
