Dear Baby Names board: I heart you.

Yesterday I asked what people thought of the name Milena. My current name crush is Mila and in playing around with that name on Nymbler I came across Milena. Wow, I thought, I'd never heard that name before. It's unique without being weird, it's an honest to goodness real name, and it sounds pretty... I think I love it! My only concern was whether people would pronounce it right.

Enter the wise women on Baby Names.

In my quest to poll this board as to how they would pronounce it, two things were brought to my attention:

1. It sounds a lot like the IUD (Mirena)

2. It sounds a lot like the medical term for bloody poop (melena)

Two things I had NOT thought of, and pretty much solidified that I will NOT be using this name! We don't plan on telling anyone IRL our name choices because I'm not interested in other people's opinions for the most part, but I also don't want to pick something that has a major flaw I hadn't thought of, which is why I love this board.

So, thank you. Or should I say, my future hypothetical daughter thanks you.
