I catch this show every once in a while and some of the stories seem believable enough ... BUT ....
COME ON! i'm 33 weeks right now and there is no way in heck that this could every happen to me - I'm speechless at how someone couldn't KNOW that they have a LO inside them kicking the crap out them. I have an anterior placenta and it took about 10 weeks longer for me to feel this one kick then it did with my DD but there is no denying the boots to the ribs, cervix on a regular basis!
Not only the kicks - but is there anyone on the Aug board who doesn't have a bump right now? How about your organs feeling squished, being hard to breathe, having back / hip / crotch pains ... I think about my night time routine and how I could use a winch in my bed to roll from one side to the other!
How the heck do these woman not know something is off ... for 40 weeks!
Re: I didn't know I was pregnant ... REALLY?!
Wait...WHAT?! That's insane.
I also don't understand how someone can't have a period for 9 months and not know why they aren't having it.
THANK YOU!!! Honestly that show annoys me to no end! How the hell do those women not know! I think they are all in major denial. I mean I'm sorry but there was one girl on there that randomly threw up for 6 months...hmmm wouldn't it be about time to take a pregnancy test? I mean come on!! A lot of those girls do have symptoms but just make up every excuse in the book as to what it could be and being pregnant never seems to cross their minds.
There was one girl who went to an amusment part, rode roller coasters all day, went into labor in the park bathroom and her baby FELL out of her onto the disgusting bathroom floor. That one especially made me cringe.
I totally agree..... I can kind of understand coming to the realization a bit late, but these women who think the kicking baby is indigestion - what the hell kind of Ninja Burrito do they think they ate?
That being said, I have a friend who didn't know she was pg until mid July last year and her baby was born in early October... I'm not sure, but I think she was around 28-30 weeks when she figured it out. She told me she was lying in bed, on her belly, reading a book when she felt a kick. I would have DIED.
I always think about the main character from the movie Saved when she is biking home with a stolen pregnancy test and chanting, "please let it be cancer. please let it be cancer."
With that said, there are medical issues that can cause you to gain weight and having your period stop. My sister suffered severe thyroid damage due to heavy metal poisoning. Due to organ damage, and extreme weight gain she suffered every pregnancy syndrome except baby kicking.
I think most of these women are in denial, but others may honestly think they might have other medical issues, especially if the pregnancy tests come back negative.
My bff had no idea she was pregnant until she was nearly 4 months along, she had what she thought were 2 periods during that time and put missing the other 2 down to stress. She had no morning sickness, no boob tenderness, nothing. The only reason she found out at all was because her husband made her take a pregnancy test after she mentioned that her period hadn't arrived that month. When the test came back positive she was in utter disbelief. Also I have photos of my mom when she was pregnant with her first baby and she has NO bump, like, at all, she never had to buy maternity pants or a bigger bra and she said people didn't believe her when she told them she was 8 months pregnant.
Not saying that that show is 100% truth, but it can happen.
Wait...WHAT?! That's insane.
I also don't understand how someone can't have a period for 9 months and not know why they aren't having it.
Some girls dont always have a period/ have a constant one anyways so its hard to tell if you missed a period. My friend kept thinking she might have been but the test kept coming back negative.
Bahahaha!!!

I only fully believe ONE... there was one woman on there who had painful ovarian cysts all her life and was told she could never have kids. She didn't gain any weight and went to the hospital thinking she was having a cyst rupture. Then she was told she was in labor. I buy that because obviously she was paying attention to her body, but she'd been led to believe by doctors that it was something else.
Everything else? BOLLOCKS...

Dear God, Since I couldn't hold my little one in my lap and tell him about you, could you hold him in your lap and tell him about me?
PgAL and PAL always welcome...HAHAHAHA!!! I was watching the show last night and thinking the same thing! There is no way that would have happened to me, in fact I pretty much knew the moment I became pregnant!
So i understand this but what doctor wouldn't take a look at all of the symptoms, regardless of a positive test or not and not schedule an ultrasound or something to try to find out what is going on with this person? It is not normal to all of a sudden be sick, gain weight, have weird movements, be in pain, etc. I"m really questioning these doctors who seemed to shrug it off as nothing.
I also dn't believe these shows. I find it impossible to not know. I find it possible to maybe not know until late, maybe like 30 weeks, but at this point? There is no mistaking the movements. Bowel movements do not punch you in the vagina or get stuck up under your ribs. I think its just denial for the most part.
I agree. I think that in EXTREMELY rare instances like this one, maybe it's possible. But to me, if you have irregular periods and randomly gain weight, you better be loading up on the BCP and get familiar with your body so as not to let something like this happen.
I don't understand it either. I mean at this very moment LO is pushing / stretching so hard I feel like my side is bruised from the inside (he picks the same spot most of the time). There is no way I could attribute that to anything even a ninja burrito!
I've seen this show a few times and yes, one woman had other medical issues she attributed being swollen to that instead of being pregnant. And another was on medication to stop her menstration so she could have a hysterectomy, so ok, no period that's understanding for her. BUT there are so many other symptoms. I swear most women are just in denial or hate going to the doctor so much that they never have these weird symtoms checked out. I had seen it all though when this one women was leaking from both breasts one night. NOW COME ON! If I didn't know I was pregnant and my boobs started leaking?!?!... the very next day I'd be in a doctor's office. That is not normal. She thought she couldn't have children, so maybe you don't think you are pregnant but I'd still go to a doctor to find out what was wrong with me!
LMAO this for sure!! I didnt ever realize turning over in my sleep would require such extensive planning and power
I have never seen the show but I want to! My aunt didn't know she was pregnant until she started showing. She had a period every 28 days her entire pregnancy so she never thought anything until her belly started bulging, she took a test even though she had just had a period and found out she was pregnant, had an ultrasound and found out she was about 5 months along. She was shocked!
I have had 2 aunts have periods throughout the entire pregnancies, but both showed other symptoms and did know they were pregnant!
