Hi folks,
Since MelleTX isn't using injectable meds for her next cycle, the opened vial of Follistim that I have to give away is still available. It has anywhere from 350-475 units left in what was a 600-unit vial (but they usually have a 125 overfill). I only used 250 units. It was opened on 6/13 and it's good for 28 days, so that means it expires on 7/11. It's been safely in the fridge since I used it; I can ship it with a cool-pak if someone's willing to cover the FedEx cost.
If no one steps up by Thursday night I am going to see if my clinic can give it to someone since I'm going there on Friday morning. So respond quick if you want it...and in your response, give me an email I can reach you at, because I can't stand the PM system on thebump and can't log in to it during the day anyway (I lock myself out so I don't spend too much time obsessing!).
Re: left-over Follistim on offer again...speak now or....
I just wanted to say that this is so nice of you to offer to the board. I hope to do the same at some point. I wish I could use your meds, but won't know my next (first) protocol in time.
Thinking of you and I know a bunch of us are wondering how you are doing right about now.
I think we should start this as a trend here and share the wealth when we have leftovers. Most of us are OOP or 50% OOP so I know we can take all the help we can get.
Take care...hope things are going really good for you right about now.

thanx, solarflare, that's really nice of you to say and it cheers me up. answer: I am feeling super, super grouchy. also depressed since I am sure the IVF didn't work; beta is on this Friday morning and I'm just too scared to test before then (which is surprising because I was sure I would). but the chances are really, really, really slim.
I wanted to offer the meds here because it kind of annoys me that the OOP meds program (over on the IF board) only takes as participants people who post there or on TTTC, and they also have to have posted 25 times or more in the past month that they want meds. Just because someone doesn't post on the boards every 2 seconds doesn't mean they don't deserve help! But I will offer through there if my clinic can't take them and one other person on here can't use them (she'll know on July 6).
I'll still hold out some hope for you. That's what we can do. But I understand the grouchiness and feeling depressed - 100%. Still crossing everything for you, though.

lhcooper-
OOP meds program just started doing the 25 minimum posts recently because someone on the boards was getting it donated and selling it which ruined it for the rest of us. It's a really great program so I hope you aren't discouraged about the 25 posts. I just got some med's donated and had to do the 25 posts so it was well worth it. They just want to make sure everyone now who is in need truly is in need and not turning around and selling it.
krod -- that's fair enough, and I can see why they'd want really active members as recipients. But I wish they'd include the TTC+35 board on that list, since some of us feel most comfortable over here. Maybe I'll make that suggestion.
THIS!!!
That board can be a very scary place - even if you think you should move from here over there. I much prefer it over here. We have no rules - just support!
