RE

ny members here from Knoxville area?  I've been diagnosed with very severe and rapid growing endometriosis. Had a lap in April to remove but already too late in that one of my fallopian tubes was/is completely blocked.  I'm doing a 6 month round of lupron to help keep endo off for more time and prevent ectopic pregnancy.  Had my 3rd shot recently, so half way there and then hubby and I can ttc.  I plan on seeing a fertility specialist bc gyn thinks endo will come back in a year if not preggers by then =( so we dont have much time to ttc.  Anyone seen or heard anything about RE in the knoxville area or anywhere in TN?  I've heard from others that the dr I've been set up with doesn't have the best results.

I live in the Knoxville area.  I personally did not have to use a specialist, but one of my close friends did.  She used Dr. Keenan and was very happy!

I'm in Chattanooga, we used Tennessee Reproductive Medicine (saw both Dr. Scotchie and Dr. Murray), cannot recommend them highly enough.  They're great doctors but also very caring, take time to answer questions, very warm and helpful. All my scans (ultrasounds) were performed by one of the doctors, not a nurse.

It's in Chattanooga, but if you can't find a provider you like in Knoxville, it would be worth the trip.  We also saw Dr. Hill at Nashville Fertility Center, and they run their practice totally differently-- you see nurses only 99% of the time, have to schedule a separate appt. if you actually want to speak with a doctor, etc.  I would be wary of any practice that runs like that.

I went to the Nashville Fertility Center also and I would not recommend an RE office where you never saw the doctor. I only saw her when we had our first appointment and when we had our HSG.

I ended up going to The Center for Reproductive Health and I really liked the doctor. I saw the nurse some but I usually ended up seeing him at almost every appointment. Their website is https://www.reproductivehealthctr.com/
