I thought I would add to today's parade of nurseries by adding some pics of my LO's nursery. The room is quite small, so it's kind of hard to get a good, clear pic of all the areas of interest so I had to do it in pieces.
Here is a view from the door of the window, bookcase and the IKEA poang chair DH and I love to sit in.
A view of the dresser that DH totally refinished. I also added some random chatskis on the shelves, which may or may not stay.
Here's the crib. Seeing this pic makes me think I may add more poms to fill the space better:
A close-up of the crib and bedding. (Once LO is ready to sleep in the crib, I'll remove the bumper but it's so cute in the meantime). We went with a lower profile crib because of the room size. We love it and it doesn't dominate the space.
Our string of counting cards that are above LO's closet:
Another view of the chair. The owl quilt was made by a friend of the family who knew we were decorating with owls but hadn't seen our bedding. She somehow found the exact same fabric as our bedding and made this amazing quilt for our LO.
I just realized I don't have a pic of the awesome steel gray shaggy area rug we have in the room; our boxers keep trying to sneak into the room to snuggle on it for their own version of tummy time.
I'm really happy with how it turned out, and love how soothing and calming all the colors are. I was trying to make it masculine without being too overwhelmingly boy, if you know what I mean.
Re: LO's Finished Nursery - PIPs galore
I love it!! The colors are really nice and the owls are adorable
. You did a great job (I especially like how it is really modern, not over-the-top cutesy).
Best Wishes to my labor buddy FunNSunAZ!
"Well I've waited so long, so long, so long For someone like you And as this morning breaks through the window pane It reveals the truth Baby, you're my sunshine, first light Find your way to places that only know lies Failed tries and bruised skies With hardly time to hold on or be strong, now I'm strong 'Cos like the dawn you push it all away I tell ya, you're my sunshine
Everybody needs a little sunshine"

Wonderful! it's baby-appropriate but also something LO can grow into!
I totally think you achieved your goal---it looks masculine for sure, but definitely something your LO will grow into!
LOVE the chevron in the crib with the owls. Very cool!
