Dear BH:
I don't think you really exist. I feel like I'm back in 8th grade and everyone has started their period but me. Sure, it may not be super fun...but you want to know what all the fuss is about.
I keep reading that BH are "practice" contractions for labor. So if I'm not having them...does that mean my vag/uterus isn't practicing!?!?! LOL
NEWSFLASH!!! I'VE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE AND I NEED THE FLIPPIN' PRACTICE!!!!!
Best,
tara
Re: Braxton Hicks...where are you?
Oh I get how this works now: you don't get any so I get double!
Shenanigans!!

Spontaneous pregnancy #4= Ectopic #3
Spontaneous pregnancy #5= Baby #3 is a BOY!!!
I NEVER felt the BH with my first child. DH would notice them while I was asleep and he had his hand on my belly. They were really not noticeable to me.
Now this pregnancy - I not only feel them all the time but they are actually getting painful! I am unhappy because my uterus does not need the practice! You will be fine.
That does seem awfully unfair!
hahaha this is to funny! Have you had your belly tighten up? Get real hard? Well if so then that is BH! I talked to my Dr about it to cause I havent felt anything and she said that some people dont feel the "pain" part of BH but there body naturally practices.
So I bet your with the rest of us
but your a lucky one who doesnt feel the pain!
I don't think so. I keep looking at it...and i don't notice anything. No hardening or tightening.
Maybe I have a lazy uterus. It took me all day to get motivated to clean my disgusting bathroom. So maybe my babymaker is just as lazy as the rest of me.
The only reason I noticed mine was because my hands are constantly on my belly. (wierd I know!) and now that I know its when my belly feels tight Im not constantly poking it trying to see if its happening! If I dont do that then I have no idea its happening. At this point I dont want to do anything.....so can my uterus contracting count as excersise?

House / Baby blog
Last night we were laying in bed and DH had his hand on my belly. He asked, "Whoa, that feels weird... is that a contraction?" Half-asleep, I mumbled something about, "No, I'm just breathing." This morning he explained that he actually felt something that was really different from regular movement and definitely not "just breathing".
So yeah... I think I've been having them and not even noticing. I only realized it the other day because I happened to have my hand on my belly and it was hard.
Our family blog
Yeah, I know. The "letter" was supposed to more of a joke.
I hadn't gotten them at all until the other night when I was driving to dinner. That kind of sucked. They were super strong and while kind enough to subside during dinner, started right back up on the way home.
My husband (started his career as a process engineer at a factory) insisted on timing them.
For the rest of the night, whenever I would grunt or groan or sigh, I would get "is that another one? It's been 13 minutes. That's kind of close together, isn't it?! Tell me when it ends!" I'm sure there will be a graphic calculator involved in my labor-at-home time.
I haven't have any since though. I'm kind of glad that I got to keep what they were like, but definitely won't be sad if they stay gone.
