Last night was a big night for New York. First of all, gay marriage was declared legal. I couldn't be more happy and more proud of this.
Second, 4,100 teachers jobs were saved with some amazing negotiating by the teachers union. Also, 20 firehouses will remain open.
Thank you to everyone who signed the petition that I posted here. I really appreciate you adding names and also the comments that were posted in support of teachers jobs.
