Great mail day! Although DH was home to witness it
A SYOF (The Incredible) from Mamamade, Galactica from GM, 2 gorgeous woollies from 1&only, and some wool yarn.
Some FOOB fabric and a new large sandwich bag from Mamamade:
And now for my WWYD....
Here is the link and stock photo for the yarn CLICKY
Now, it says it's brown, and I ordered the trim in the matching brown. But really it's a plum/eggplant purple color. And the "poppy red" fades into a pink/salmon-y color. Should I contact the seller? She says right in the listing that the color will look different on different bases, so I feel like I shouldn't. And the yarn is GORGEOUS and so soft. But I don't know if I will really use it for DS.
Here's a close-up:
Re: Fluffy/Woolly mail PIP and a WWYD
In my opinion "looks different on different bases" means you may get a dark brown on one base and a light brown on another. It does not mean listing says brown and you get purple. So yes I would contact them. Oh and I can't wait to see OTB pictures!!
Wow, awesome fluffy mail! I'm drooling a little bit over here
As far as the yarn goes, it is gorgeous but it definitely looks purple, not brown. I would definitely contact the seller. I don't have any experience with yarn, but I would assume that it should be the same general color even on different bases. (Does that make sense? Meaning there are a multitude of shades of each color, but brown = brown, brown =/= purple)
I agree with pp that different bases does not equal totally different colors, and I would consider brown and purple different colors. Also, it's a different color that makes the yarn non-GN. I'd contact the seller and see what they say.
Oh, and I waaaant the woolies! They're gorgeous!
Jealous of your mail!
The yarn is still very boyish, even if it is the wrong color.
