Our car seat literally just came today! I think installing it will be easy (LATCH in the car)... I'm just not looking forward to getting it inspected. I feel like I have no time as it is!
With DS I installed at around 38 weeks. It will probably make it into the car in the next week. It only takes a few seconds to install, so I'm not too worried about it.

Its not in yet and I'm not worried about it. Its sitting in the office, though, because I have the urge to put it in as part of my nesting, but we will have family in town the next two weekends and I want as many open seats in the vehicle as we can get. We'll put it in after the 4th, which is one week before my c-section. Since we've been through it before I know DH knows how to install it quickly if need be and his installation has passed inspection before.
We installed the bases in our car yesterday and it was a pain in the butt! It didn't help that it was 90 degrees outside and neither one of us had a clue what we were doing though. We're hopefully getting them inspected next week and then we'll be good to go.
I don't even have a car seat yet. Doh! My sister and BIL are getting us the Chicco Keyfit 30, and we have a date to pick it up the first weekend in July.

This is what I am afraid of! Plus, I am still debating if we should used the middle with the seatbelt or the passenger side with the latch system, gah.
I haven't done it yet and I'm kind of stressing about it. I think I'll feel okay if we get the base installed in one of our 2 cars, but I'm stressing about getting it inspected because I've called some local fire departments and they're not returning my calls.
But with #3 I have so little to do to prepare, I think I just need to feel like we're doing something to get closer to bringing this baby home!
I think this is exactly what is happening to me too (only with #2). I even took the plunge and started the hospital bag last weekend simply because I want to do SOMETHING, ANYTHING, baby related!
its not in, and im not stressing. we will put it in when the baby comes. its our fourth so were pros lol. sorry, no capitalization or punctuatuion im on my phone which doesnt let me do that on the bump for some reason
We haven't installed ours yet. We may get a new car between now and due date. Also- I left a message with the fire department's install and inspection hotline and never received a return call.
Re: CP: Is your carseat installed yet?
BTW -- I found this article really helpful:
