I swore I would never attempt to make (or eat) meatloaf because it makes me think of my 81 year old Grandmother AND the "I can't put my arms down" kid from the movie "A Christmas Story". BUT I was talking to someone the other day who said it's basically like eating a huge meatball which actually made it sound pretty enticing.
So, do you have a fave recipe? Care to share?
Re: give me your best meatloaf recipe.

This shouldn't remind you of your grandmother:
BBQ Meatloaf:
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix together the beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, salt, pepper, and 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce. Form this mixture into a loaf and place it in a shallow pan. Stir together the remaining tomato sauce, vinegar, sugar, mustard, Worcestershire and the water (if too thick). Pour this sauce over the meatloaf. Bake for 1 hour, basting every 15 minutes with the pan juices.
I don't measure.....but I'll guesstimate.
2lb ground turkey
1C breadcrumb or panko
1 egg
1/4C ketchup
4-5 T. Worcestershire Sauce
1T. Italian Seasonings + whatever other seasonings float your boat
1/4C grated parmesan
Bake for about an hour or internal temp is above 160 degrees.
Dude, you're crazy. I love meat loaf.
Here are some of my favorites:
Italian Meat Loaf
Asian Style Meat Loaves (I go easy on the hoisin sauce on the top - it's a little too much tang for me)
Cheesy meat loaf
I don't have a recipe, but when I finally do get around to making meatloaf, I plan to do meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potatoes for the icing.
