Re: Lari

  • It's already on my list, but my pears won't be ready until the end of summer.

  • I might make a bunch for gifts. I have THREE pear trees and barring natural disasters, there should be a bumper crop this year. Tons of pears.

And hopefull next year my peach tree will produce something more than leaves.

I wish I had all those trees.  My next house will have a ton of room for trees.

Everything sounds right about that recipe!

  • They're right alongside our driveway just inside the property line. The previous owners planted the pear trees and we planted the peach 2 weeks ago.

I am planning to replace some of our landscaping with stuff that produces: I am clearing out the ground cover in front of the garage and planting 2 Concord grape vines. One of the shrubs will be an elderberry for the flowers and berries. I may plant 2-3 hazel bushes if I could keep the 84500 squirrels away from them.

Get a dog.  We haven't seen a squirrel since we got ours!  Of course that brings up another set of issues, but at least the squirrels, chipmunks and deer will leave your stuff alone!  YWIA.  Haha!

(Sorry, the wine is kicking in!)
