Success after IF

Looks like a Chemical PG :(

It was our first FET with my GC.  She was testing positive on a digital and now her first beta is 13. It's my daughter's 3rd birthday too which makes the day bittersweet. I am staying positive and thinking about all my failed cycles before my DD to remind myself that it was all worth it, but this is still SO hard!

  • I'm so sorry. (welcome back, btw)

I have a very strong theory that "pee is later than blood" as far as testing. It just doesn't get the hcg message as quick as blood does. (make sense, medically, right?)

I can't tell you how many times I've tested early, gotten two lines, and a week later my beta is 11. But the lines are still dark. (but soon fade a day or two later)

My thoughts are with you and your dear GC.... hopefully your happy story is just around the corner!

  • Hey hang in there! :) Some digitals can pick up readings of 12 and sometimes FETs just are a little slower to rise.  Don't lose hope yet, okay?

My first GC cycle was a chemical pg too so I understand the rollercoaster ride. Hang on tight. It might just be okay.  :)

  • Mrs. reem  - i remember you from way back! I can't believe you're a GC, that is so amazing! My GC/good friend had one oops pg back in college, and no other babies (by choice - still single) She is taking this as hard as I am - she can't imagine trying to get pregnant and it not working (she was on the pill when she got pg last time)!

  • I'm sorry.  I read your first post with great hope.  We will probably be using a GC next year so I am really interested in how your story turns out.

  • I was a HPT addict.  With both of my pregnancies, I saw no distinct conclusive change in the darkness of the lines until I was like 5 weeks pregnant.  For the first 5 days some were light, some were darker.  It was freaky...but I do think it's still very early for you to start analyzing darkness of lines.

  • I'm very sorry.  I'll be holding out hope for you!
