They worked for me. I wore them around the house while I was on maternity leave. My legs were definitely sore the next day. I tried working out in them and it just made me uncomfortable. I think they are good for around the house. But now that I'm not home all day. I'm wishing I hadn't spent the money.

I got them before I got pregnant and I wish I hadn't. I got the Sketchers Shape ups and I hate how you can only walk in them. If you get a pair, I would get some that aren't like a big platform.
I have some and I like them. I wear them when I know I am going to be doing a lot of walking anyway, like shopping or walking in my neighborhood. They are good for when your activity is mainly walking. Not so good for playing in the yard and things that require lots of changes in direction. I would not recommend them for working out unless you are primarily going on a treadmill. The curve on the soles may throw off your center of balance when trying to stand still.
I usually live in my flip-flops in the summer, but will switch to these for specific activities. Certainly not an all-the-time shoe.

I have the reebok easy tones. I wore them everywhere and felt the burn for a bit but I dunno if they really toned anything. But if you want to try them they would be ok to exercise in. I think they even have runtones designed specifically for running.
I have FitFlops and LOVE them. I wore them for my entire pregnancy and they definitely felt much better on my tired legs. I also use the sketcher toners for the gym, but they are meant for the gym as in they are not platforms. I do not use them for classes where I'm changing direction, but staying on a treadmill/bike/weights. I like them.
My education/career as a physical therapist made me research these before buying. And while you do feel sore muscles initially it is only because you are using different muscles than in regular sneakers so you aren't burning more calories or toning more muscles. And definitely don't wear them for working out - they change your normal stance and balance . I don't mean to sound so preachy, but its one of the few things on the board I actually know something about!
Re: shape up shoes
I got the New Balance kind.
