Ok, so my seasonal allergies have hit me full force starting last week. Itchy eyes, runny nose, sneezing, its just lovely and I'm miserable. I totally spaced on asking my DR at my appointment today, but what is everyone else doing for their allergies? I saw online they only recommend taking Claritin (which I've used in the past with not much luck) and Bendaryl (which I'm allergic to). Has anyone else used the Neti Pot and had success? DH has been taking Allerga and its working great for him, but its listed as a Class C drug for pregnancy
Re: Allergies!
My seasonal allergies arrive earlier in the season, so I just finished dealing with them. This is what I did:
- Claritin before bed. That way any gap between the pills is while you're sleeping.
- Shower before bed. This washes the allergens away from your face and such so you're not rolling in them all night. It makes a huge difference.
- Neti Pot. I did this in the morning to clear things out for the day.
The timing on these seemed to make a lot of difference. I hope some of this works for you; having allergies made things really unpleasant during the last month or two.
