Success after IF

Changing REs

Those of you who have changed REs, How did they compare?  We got pregnant our first cycle with our previous RE, that resulted in my DD is who almost 3. Went back to same RE in October 10 to try for #2. The RE seemed totally scatter brained and his office messed up our first iui cycle. We were so upset that we couldnt go back after that. Now we have changed REs and are in our 3rd cycle with him. I feel clueless as to what his plans are. Hx: I have annovulatory PCOS. DD was 100mg clomid, trigger and b2b iui.

We changed REs while TTC #2.  I was with a very large clinic in NYC and I was a little frustrated with all their protocols and requirements that come with a very large clinic.  So, I decided to have a consult with a smaller, private clinic that a few friends had used.  I decided to switch to the 2nd clinic b/c they were just much easier to work with and less concerned with what they did for everyone else.  However, I was comparing between 2 completely different practices - small, private vs. large, teaching hospital.  And, the fees were completely different.  With the small practice, I paid significantly more (they didn't accept insurance and their rates were crazy compared to the large one) but they let me control things a lot more, the REs were much more accessible; honestly, it was the way medical care should be (minus the cost).  I always felt like I knew what was happening at my 2nd clinic and I think that's important no matter where you are.  GL!

Not from the RE, but my fave nurse called to help me fill in the blanks on my cycle/testing history, so I think that will be enough to give them a good picture.
